Coly Marsh, O.D.

Therapeutic Optometrist, Glaucoma Specialist

Dr. Coly Marsh received his Bachelor of Science in Medical Technology from Texas Tech University and received his Doctorate of Optometry degree from the University of Houston College of Optometry, where he graduated with honors. He and his wife, Breanne, live in Frisco with their daughters, Makenzie, Katie, and Abbie.

Dr. Marsh likes establishing relationships with his patients and considers them family when making decisions that can impact their vision. He is a proud member of Vision Source, the Texas Optometric Association and the American Optometric Association. Dr. Marsh is also a certified Adjunct Professor of the Rosenberg School of Optometry. He is an active member of his church in Frisco and he spends a week each year in Honduras with North Texas Missions providing eyewear to those in need. He also partners with Grace Bridge Eye Clinic locally to provide glasses to those less fortunate in the North Texas area.

In his spare time, Dr. Marsh is an avid skier and fly fisherman. He likes to spend time in Colorado, that is, when his wife doesn’t want a beach vacation!

JEFF Thomas, O.D.

Dr. Jeff Thomas has been here at Frisco Eye Associates since its inception and his fingerprint can be found everywhere in our office. His commitment to customer service and the health of every patient that walks through our doors is felt by both his patients and our staff. We are privileged to have such a great leader helping to steer this practice in a direction that will see it improving lives with vision for many years to come. "I am really proud of what we have built here at Frisco Eye Associates over the years. Like many things in life, it takes community to make something like Frisco Eye Associates possible. From doctors, to schedulers, to technicians, to managers, and patients too! We all share a symbiotic relationship. Dr. Thomas received his Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Science from Texas A&M University, and graduated in 1998 from the University of Houston College of Optometry where he received his Doctorate of Optometry. He is also a certified Adjunct Professor of the Rosenberg School of Optometry. He and his wife, Heather, live in Frisco with their two children.  Dr. Thomas enjoys spending time with his family, travel, sports, and the outdoors.

Jim Campbell, O.D.

Dr. Jim Campbell brings 26 years of clinical experience in hospital, private and group practice settings to Frisco Eye Associates. Dr. Campbell takes great pride in developing an attentive and problem oriented approach to addressing patient concerns with practical advice in a friendly manner. “Connecting with the patient is key. Before someone is willing to take your advice, they must be willing to trust you. The degree to which you treat a patient with friendship and empathy is equally important to the accuracy of your diagnosis and the quality of your treatment plan.” Dr. Campbell earned his Doctorate of Optometry from The University of Alabama at Birmingham School of Optometry, where many of his professors wrote optometry text books which are still considered standards in today’s practice. Dr. Campbell is also a certified Adjunct Professor of the Rosenberg School of Optometry. “I feel very fortunate to practice here at Frisco Eye Associates. There is such a vast depth of experience among the staff and other doctors. Their friendly nature and the good humored culture here are like working in a brain trust with just the right dash of fun. Each patient is treated with such compassion, expertise and smiles that I am continually impressed by them and grateful to be a part of it.”

Jarryd Schieffer, O.D.

Therapeutic Optometrist, Glaucoma Specialist

Dr. Schieffer is originally from Hartington, Nebraska. He attended college at the University of Nebraska at Lincoln where he received his Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. He then attended the Rosenberg School of Optometry in San Antonio where he has been awarded academic letters of excellence and graduated as a member of the Beta Sigma Kappa Honor Society. He participated in various organizations and was a multi-year class representative. Dr. Schieffer is also a certified Adjunct Professor of the Rosenberg School of Optometry. "It is a privilege to provide eye care services to the members of our community. We have assembled a group of people determined to meet the needs of our patients day in and day out." 

Dr. Schieffer has experience working in private practice in the San Antonio area as well as experience in a VA hospital in Viera, Florida and a surgery center in North Miami Beach, Florida. "We are not just trying to build a business, we are trying to build friendships.  We enjoy getting to know all of our patients and being a positive part of their lives."Dr. Schieffer began with Frisco Eye Associates in June 2013. He lives in McKinney with his wife Christa and together they attend St. Francis Catholic Church here in Frisco. In his free time he enjoys playing golf, basketball, and being outdoors.

Tom McClintock, O.D.

Dr. Tom McClintock received his Bachelor of Science in Biology, with a minor in Chemistry, from Kansas Wesleyan University. He then attended Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, Tennessee where he graduated in 1991 receiving his Doctorate of Optometry. He is also a certified Adjunct Professor of the Rosenberg School of Optometry. "I love my job! Love it! Using my experience to guide a patient to the best possible vision for their lifestyle is exciting every time." Dr. McClintock started at Frisco Eye Associates in 2013, and brings with him many years of experience as a successful optometrist and a diverse knowledge of the eye care industry. He has already made excellent suggestions for ways to improve the patient experience here, and we could not be more thrilled to have a doctor so resolute in their dedication to patient's ocular health and happiness. "I believe the entire office at Frisco Eye Associates, both staff and doctors, are as excited as I am about providing superior eye care solutions with honesty and customer service." Dr. McClintock and his wife, Janet, live in Plano with their daughter Shelby.

Barry Curtis, O.D.

Dr. Barry Curtis is a Frisco Eye Associates original. Years ago, he worked as an optician and technician at Frisco Eye Associates before attending optometry school, and is now one of our most requested doctors!  " I am really excited to be back where my journey in optometry really began. The atmosphere and philosophy here help create an environment that is beneficial for the doctor and patient relationship. The sole focus here is on patient satisfaction, and improving their life with excellent vision care."  Dr. Curtis received his Bachelor of Science in Biology from The University of Alabama at Birmingham. Subsequently, he earned his Doctorate of Optometry from The University of Alabama at Birmingham School of Optometry where he was a member of the Beta Sigma Kappa Honor Society.  He also completed rotations focusing heavily on ocular disease and difficult contact lens fittings. Dr. Curtis is also a certified Adjunct Professor of the Rosenberg School of Optometry.  During his spare time, Dr. Curtis enjoys playing music and spending time with his family and friends.

Sheetal Bhaga, O.D.

Frisco Eye Associates is excited to have such an amazing person on our team. Dr. Sheetal Bhaga is not only a fantastic doctor, but she is also a great person and is always bringing a great attitude and smile to work with her. "It is my privilege to be your eye care provider at Frisco Eye Associates. My goal is to take care of your eye care needs today, but also help you keep good vision and healthy eyes for life. I am a strong proponent of preventative care and believe that nutrition and a healthy lifestyle can help you lead a happy life." 

Dr. Bhaga received her Bachelor of Arts in Biology from The University of Texas in Austin, Texas. She then attended the New England College of Optometry in Boston, Massachusetts where she received her Doctorate of Optometry and graduated with honors in clinical rotations that included Indian Health Services in Albuquerque, New Mexico, Brooks Army Medical Center in San Antonio, Texas, Veteran's Affairs Outpatient Clinic in Lowell, Massachusetts, and Dimock Community Center in Boston, Massachusetts. She is a member of the American Optometric Association, Texas Optometric Association, and is the active Treasurer for the Northeast Texas Optometric Society. Dr. Bhaga is also a certified Adjunct Professor of the Rosenberg School of Optometry. "All of the doctors and staff at FEA have our patients' best interests in mind. We stay innovative and continue to keep up with the changing trends in healthcare to help us diagnose and treat vision conditions that can affect the daily life of adults and  development in children." 

 Dr. Bhaga's hobbies include running, reading, traveling, hiking and snowboarding. She currently resides in Frisco with her husband Neil and their son Aryan, daughter Naya and their dog Bam Bam.

Carlee Young, O.D, F.A.A.O.

Therapeutic Optometrist, Glaucoma Specialist, A.A.O. Fellow

Dr. Carlee Young is a Frisco native, and we are excited to welcome her back as the first fellowship trained pediatric optometrist in the Frisco Area. Dr. Young was also part of the Frisco Eye Associates team as an optometric technician before pursuing her optometry degree, and she is excited to be returning home to serve the community she loves. “Frisco Eye Associates is where my interest in optometry began and I am thrilled to be returning to my hometown and bringing my passion for pediatric optometry to the Frisco community”.

Dr. Young received her Bachelor of Arts in History from Austin College. She earned her Doctorate of Optometry from the University of Houston College of Optometry where she graduated Summa Cum Laude and was a member of the Beta Sigma Kappa Honor Society. Dr. Young then completed a residency in pediatric optometry at the Southern California College of Optometry at Marshall B. Ketchum University in Anaheim, California. Dr. Young has also obtained fellowship from the American Academy of Optometry. She is among some of the youngest and brightest optometrists in the nation, and we are very lucky to have her on our team. She enjoys traveling, baking, and spending time with friends and family.

James Wiedenfeld, O.D.

We are very excited to welcome Dr. James Wiedenfeld to our practice! He brings a fresh and unique perspective to our team, and we think our patients will be as excited about his arrival as we are. Dr. Wiedenfeld is originally from Victoria, Texas. He graduated with a BS in Biology from Texas A&M University and continued his educational pursuits at the University of Houston School of Optometry where he earned his Doctorate of Optometry. "Practicing optometry is more than a simple career choice, it is also an opportunity to serve the community you live with. The truly great part about being an optometrist is building relationships of trust with your patients. Myself and the team at Frisco Eye Associates all share a patient first mentality, and I am thrilled to be a part of it". Dr. Wiedenfeld resides in Frisco where he enjoys working out, playing tennis and attending sporting events.
